«Ready for school» action is starting in Kazakhstan
From 1st August to 30th September in Kazakhstan there was a «Ready for school” action. Its aim was to help students from families with many children and needy families, orphans and children without parental care.
«In pursuance of the instructions of the head of state to ensure an access to education for all the students of our republic, from 1st August to 30th September we annually run «Ready for school” action for 10 years. This year slogan is «My choice is to help children”,' said Manshuk Abdykarim, Deputy Chairman of the committee of the protection of children’s rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
There were lists of 300 000 children from needy families to support this year.
In addition, needy families and families with many children will be taken under patronage, because they cannot afford their children to take part in school events due to their economic situation. Also, during the action, there will be raids conducted to identify if there are any children have no access to education, and prevention of school absenteeism.
MEGA also took part in this action by preparing 50 school sets, each set consists of a backpack with all the necessary stationary equipment. Backpacks were presented to happy students during the concert dedicated to the Day of Constitution which took place in an Amphitheatre of MEGA Alma-Ata.
